ZONG Services was founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Juan Garzon with $20 that his grandma gave him for after graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh. Juan Garzon is a MOUSE Squad Alum, and the first student to receive MOUSE’s Student Champion of Education and Technology Award in 2001. He went on and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from SUNY Plattsburgh. He was nominated among a select few within the Computer Science department of Plattsburgh State University to represent the school at the Consortium of Computing Sciences in Colleges, Northeastern Region programming contest, for 2005 and 2006. Shortly after graduating he became a volunteer MOUSE Squad Coordinator for high school and middle school students at Robert F. Wagner Jr. Secondary School for Arts and Technology teaching them how to set up and run a tech support help desk. Juan also worked as an independent contractor as a trainer teaching students from various schools in New York how to troubleshoot and repair computers. Juan would later take a full time position at MOUSE as a Field Support Representative to help schools from all of New York City Boroughs set up a student run help desk. Juan continues his dedication to technology and education and continues to use those values in ZONG Services.
